Aerospace Manufacturing Assembler - Must-Have Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hands-on manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Experience using small hand tools and shop equipment
- Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, and work instructions
- Basic soldering experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed assembly procedures
- Basic math skills
- Must pass an FAA-related drug test
- Must pass a background check
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive assembly work for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 30 lbs.
Aerospace Manufacturing Assembler - Position Summary
The Aerospace Manufacturing Assembler performs hands-on assembly of aerospace components using soldering stations, epoxy applicators, mechanical and hydraulic presses, hand tools, and other shop equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable following detailed work instructions and technical documentation in a quality-focused aerospace manufacturing environment.
Aerospace Manufacturing Assembler - Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble aerospace components according to approved work instructions
- Perform soldering and epoxy adhesion
- Use soldering stations, epoxy applicators, mechanical presses, hydraulic presses, and basic hand tools
- Read and follow assembly prints, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions
- Use various shop tools and equipment safely
- Document component and consumable traceability on manufacturing orders
- Verify components and materials are properly documented
- Identify assembly or documentation issues and communicate them to the Production Supervisor
- Follow company procedures and quality requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform repetitive assembly operations while maintaining quality standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Aerospace Manufacturing Assembler - Additional Qualifications
- Previous aerospace, electronics, electromechanical, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience with small component assembly is a plus
- Soldering experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagrammed, and scheduled instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot basic assembly problems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned evening shift
