Job summary

AerSale, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an experienced Machinist to operate manual mills and lathes, set up jobs, and perform precision machining for aerospace components.

You will read blueprints, inspect parts, and ensure tight tolerances while maintaining a safe, organized workspace. Preferred candidates have 5+ years in manual machining, relevant certificates, and the ability to work open set-ups across varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Completed machining training program resulting in a degree or certificate.
• 5+ years’ experience operating manual machines.
• Familiarity with shop math and layout work.
• 2+ years' experience in repair work, or on aerospace components.
• 2+ years' experience with larger parts / heavy equipment machining.
• 2+ years' experience with open set-ups.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise with all manual equipment (mills and lathes) within the machine shop including set up and operation, as well as basic preventative maintenance.
• Perform thread repairs, boring, facing, and general machining operations.
• Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gages, indicators).
• Fabricate tooling in support of in-house production needs.
• Fabricate and repair high-tolerance part pieces.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and other technical data.
