Job summary

ST Engineering Aerospace is seeking a skilled machinist to fabricate structural aircraft components in a hands-on, precision-driven environment. You’ll operate CNC and manual machines, read blueprints and engineering work orders, and maintain tooling and safety standards.

Located at Brookley Aeroplex in Mobile, AL and Pensacola, FL, this role requires 2 years minimum machinist experience, a high school diploma, and readiness to train others.

Qualifications

• Set up and operate all machine shop equipment with minimal assistance.
• Knowledge of shop math to calculate dimensions/angles.
• Knowledge of metal properties and paperwork procedures.
• Able to read blueprints, SBS, AD notes, and work orders.
• Able to hold tolerances of .0002 and ½ degree.
• Set up CNC equipment and tool offsets.
• Knowledge of indicators, height gauges, and precision setup devices.
• Able to service machines daily.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and company policies.
• Familiar with job clocking, SRMs and related paperwork procedures.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate all primary and secondary structural components using machine shop equipment following instructions.
• Maintain and store tools in a serviceable condition.
• Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep work area clean.
• Maintain and supply personal records of work performed on OJT forms.
• Complete training courses as required by the Training Department.
• Perform duties assigned by supervisor and train lower-skilled staff.
• Perform work as directed by supervisor.
