Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Maintenance Planner to develop comprehensive maintenance strategies, plan detailed job steps, and schedule work to maximize equipment uptime.

The role will transition from Maximo CMMS to Brightly CMMS over time and interact with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in maintenance planning, with aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing experience preferred, and proficiency in CMMS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of maintenance planning experience in commercial, industrial, or facilities management environment.
• Aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Experience with CMMS platforms and maintenance management software (Maximo preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, prioritize, and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work orders using CMMS.
• Create detailed job plans including steps, tools, materials, labor hours, and safety precautions for aerospace equipment.
• Build and manage weekly and daily maintenance schedules.
• Review and validate incoming work requests for scope, safety, labor estimates, and parts.
• Coordinate assignments and communicate planned downtime with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Develop, implement, and optimize preventive/predictive maintenance programs to improve PM completion and asset reliability.
