Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Hampton, VA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join the Industrial Gas Turbine group. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and piping systems to meet customer specifications.

Training is on 1st shift, with hours to be determined after training completes. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, and the ability to work all shifts.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience or training.
Willingness to work all shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to read and follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and piping systems.
Read and follow work instructions; record data manually or by computer.
Assist with testing and repair of equipment and discuss issues with supervisors.
Dismantle machines and install new or repaired parts as directed.
Operate cutting torch or welding equipment; fabricate and repair structures.
