Job summary

GAL AeroStaff Georgetown seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee inspections, repairs, maintenance, and return-to-service for AeroGuard aircraft. Lead and supervise maintenance personnel, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures.

You will manage maintenance records, coordinate with the Director of Maintenance, maintain tools and training, and travel as required. This full-time role offers relocation assistance and a competitive $94k–$100k salary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid FAA-issued Airframe and Powerplant certificate in good standing required.
• Minimum of five years of general aviation maintenance experience required.
• Previous Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Lead Mechanic, or comparable leadership experience preferred.
• Experience working in a flight school or high-utilization general aviation maintenance environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform or supervise inspections, routine servicing, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, repairs, and return-to-service activities on company aircraft.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and approved data.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance to ensure company aircraft remain compliant with applicable regulations and company requirements.
• Supervise, support, and provide direction to assigned maintenance personnel.
• Ensure maintenance personnel receive the appropriate training for the level of work being performed.
• Provide or coordinate general safety training and equipment training.
• Ensure tooling and equipment are current, serviceable, and calibrated where applicable.
• Maintain a safe, clean hangar and shop environment.
• Travel as required for out-of-state work.
