Job summary

Vivace International Corporation in the NASA Michoud area seeks an Aerospace Machinist – Level 2 to set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual equipment for precision aerospace components.

The role requires interpreting complex drawings, performing high-accuracy inspections, and mentoring Level 1 machinists while upholding strict aerospace standards. On-site manufacturing environment with safety and continuous improvement focus.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of machining experience in aerospace/defense or precision manufacturing.
• High school diploma or GED; accredited machinist program preferred.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC equipment independently.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
• Proficiency with precision measurement instruments and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program (basic), and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
• Read, interpret, and apply complex blueprints and work instructions.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters for tasks.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measurement tools.
• Adjust operations to meet dimensional and finish requirements.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain aerospace standards, tolerances, and documentation.
• Mentor Level 1 machinists and support safety and continuous improvement.
