Job summary

Moog in Torrance, CA is seeking a Machinist II for the 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm) to operate and set up manual and CNC machines on aerospace components. You will join the Military Aircraft Group and report to the Performance Leader at our on-site aerospace plant in Torrance, CA.

Required: High School diploma or GED, 3+ years CNC machining, and familiarity with Gleason Shapers, gear hobbing, and multi-axis CNC centers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise able to understand and apply instructions in English.
• 3+ years of CNC Machining experience.
• Experience with Gleason Shapers, gear hobbing, and multi-axis CNC centers is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate two or more manual or CNC machines, producing quality production hardware.
• Plan sequence of operation using tooling and improve tooling as necessary.
• Meet production time standards and perform set-ups and other machinist duties.
• Inspect work with micrometers, calipers, and GD&T blueprints; detect defects and errors.
