Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a strong leader to manage the machine shop, drive on-time delivery, and mentor a team responsible for high-value aerospace components with tight tolerances. You will steer production readiness, ensure quality, and lead process improvements across the shop.

The role emphasizes safety, manufacturing support across facilities, and collaboration with Engineering and Quality teams to deliver mission-critical parts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in leadership roles with manufacturing teams.
• 7 years minimum machining aerospace components experience.
• Strong blue print reading and GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994.

Responsibilities

• Own daily machine shop operations and personnel.
• Conduct performance reviews and schedule assignments.
• Oversee training, back-up coverage, and attendance data.
• Maintain machine shop schedule and customer delivery expectations.
• Provide HR escalation support and continuous improvement actions.
• Ensure safety, 5S/Lean programs and calibration compliance.
