Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking an Aerospace Machine Operator in Kent, WA. You will ensure proper setup of machines to produce parts within tight tolerances, read drawings, use precision instruments, and follow safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Aerospace Machine Operator
  • Day shift and Swing Shifts Available
Functions And Responsibilities
  • Operators ensure proper setup of machines to yield quality parts conforming to our customers designed tolerances.
  • Understand and follow written instructions, sketches, drawings, and documents.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to check tolerances and quality of parts.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning and paperless timecard system.
  • Work under direct oversight.
Skills, Education And Required Experience
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing planning and sketches.
  • Knows when to stop and ask for clarification.
  • Understand proper setup and use of tooling associated with machines.
  • Requires familiarity with machine tools, precision instruments and good manual dexterity.
  • Required to perform shop mathematics associated with machining operations.
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED required.
Working Conditions

Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, heat reflective body garments and gloves as required.

Physical Requirements

The machine operator performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.

  • Pay Range: $20/hr to $31.6/hr
