Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Foley, AL is seeking a Logistics & Material Handler to join our onsite team. You will load and unload parts and finished goods, manage material movement, and operate forklift and crane to move OEM inventory.

The role requires a HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, forklift proficiency, and basic office skills. This position emphasizes lean manufacturing, safety, and accurate documentation, with potential for varied shifts.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of forklift experience.
• Experience with basic office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of inventory processes such as FIFO, JIT, Kanbans.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts and finished goods from trucks and shipping vehicles.
• Plan, schedule and manage the movement of material from production to outbound staging area.
• Operate forklift and crane to move inventory and containers as needed.
• Daily inspection of equipment and maintenance of shipping containers.
• Ensure proper paperwork for shipments is complete and accurate.
• Coordinate with Quality for inspection readiness before shipment.
• Organize materials for quality inspections and lean manufacturing practices.
• Support other duties as required.
