Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a contract testing technician to conduct mechanical tests on aerospace materials and components for Boeing projects in Tukwila, WA. The role uses MTS software on servo-hydraulic/motion frames and requires meticulous data collection and reporting.

Candidates should be comfortable working under supervision, with a focus on documentation, technical reports, and adherence to ASTM and Boeing specifications; prior lab experience is preferred and a strong

Qualifications

AAS degree or equivalent or years of experience.
Mechanical test experience.
Knowledge of MTS, Instron or equivalent load frames.
Knowledge of closed loop servo-hydraulic systems.
Technical writing.
Basic computer skills.
Laboratory experience.
Shop/lab tools and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

Conduct mechanical tests on aerospace materials, parts and subcomponents to determine mechanical properties.
Run MTS furnished testing software on servo-hydraulic and mechanical-screw load frames per ASTM, Boeing and Military specs.
Collect data, analyze results, document findings and write technical reports.
Work under close supervision with other qualified operators and engineering support.
