Job summary

Texas A&M Engineering in Fort Worth is seeking a Senior Research Engineer I to coordinate and oversee the Aerospace and Aviation Research Lab project. You will work with SMEs and vendors to design, procure, install, and activate sophisticated lab equipment, ensuring safety and timely execution of initial projects.

The role requires a Master’s degree and at least six years of related experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to mentor students in a dynamic research setting.

• Master’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Spec out a Digital Twins with AI agents and GPS-denied navigation lab.
• Design lab layout in collaboration with SMEs and supervisor.
• Acquire the equipment and supplies needed with vendors and finance.
• Install and checkout the equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain lab safety records and prepare status reports and briefs.
