Job summary

PCC Aerostructures in Valencia, CA, is seeking an IT co-op/intern who will provide training-based IT support for the aerospace facility. Under supervision, you will assist in hardware, software and networking support and document processes and system administration.

This internship offers hands-on experience with Active Directory, IT asset management, server patches and security updates, plus opportunities to learn enterprise IT practices in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Strong interest in IT support.
Strong team orientation with excellent written and communications skills.
Reliable, detail oriented, and able to accomplish assigned milestones.
Ability to learn new technology quickly with minimal training.
Ability to work independently and follow procedures, checklists and informal instructions.
Pursuing a degree or certification in Information Technology or related curriculum.
Current Junior or Senior in College or graduated within the last 6 months

Responsibilities

Apply principles learned in school to hands-on situations.
Under supervision, configure and install workstations, printers, cell phones and related components.
Learn, help maintain and update IT asset inventory.
Assist in organization of decommissioning and disposal of assets.
Research spare parts and create requisitions to maintain proper inventory levels.
Learn and help set up, maintain, and repair user accounts and computers on various systems.
Assist with server patches and other required security vulnerabilities.
Create documentation of common processes.
Perform other duties as necessary or appropriate to the position
