Job summary

Applied Energy Technology Corp in Michigan seeks an entry-level Inventory Associate to support production by pulling, staging, and issuing parts for work orders, while verifying part numbers, quantities, revisions, and lot numbers to ensure full traceability.

You'll also assist with receiving, put-away, cycle counts, and maintaining organized stockrooms, while adhering to FIFO and safety procedures for energetic materials. Training on our ERP system will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass an ATF background check and be approved as an employee possessor of explosives under AETC's federal explosives license.
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.62).
• Ability to read and understand part numbers, work orders, BOMs, drawings, labels, and inventory documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn inventory and ERP software.
• Ability to accurately count and verify quantities of components and materials.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Pull, stage, and issue parts, components, and materials for production work orders.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, revisions, lot numbers, and other identifying information before issuing material.
• Issue inventory to work orders using AETC's inventory system.
• Maintain organized and accurate inventory locations throughout the facility.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts.
• Assist in investigating inventory discrepancies and report them to the Supply Chain Supervisor.
• Help monitor material availability for upcoming production and communicate shortages or concerns.
• Follow FIFO, shelf-life, and material handling requirements where applicable.
• Handle materials carefully to prevent damage, contamination, loss, or improper mixing of lots.
• Follow ATF and company requirements for the storage, handling, and recordkeeping of explosive and energetic materials.
