Job summary

Qualified Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Inventory Control & Purchasing Assistant in Houston, TX. The role supports aircraft operations, purchasing, and logistics by maintaining records, tracking purchase orders, and processing documentation.

Responsibilities include updating NAMIS/NASA and related systems, coordinating with buyers and vendors, and ensuring accuracy of inventory and government property records. The position works 28 hours/week, Monday–Thursday.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong data entry accuracy.
• Experience in maintaining purchase orders, inventory records, and related documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain purchase order worksheets and inventory records to ensure accuracy.
• Research and update part numbers, stock numbers, and delivery dates using NAMIS, FedLog, and related systems.
• Process receivers, purchase orders, invoices, and document uploads per established procedures.
• Run NAMIS reports to support purchasing, inventory control, and parts tracking.
• Coordinate with buyers, vendors, accounting, logistics, and program management to resolve issues.
• Support inventory control activities including stocking, locating, and disposing of parts as needed.
• Maintain accountability for government-furnished property and serialized items.
