Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking an Internal Quality Engineer for our Mansfield, OH site, within the Aerospace, Defense, and Marine unit. The role centers on maintaining AS9100/QMS, internal audits, and continuous improvement to assure product and process quality across the organization.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2+ years in quality engineering, with strong knowledge of AS9100 and audit experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in aerospace/defense.
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality requirements.
  • Experience conducting internal audits and managing corrective action processes.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA).
  • Plan, conduct, and report internal audits and follow up on corrective/preventive actions.
  • Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and approve internal procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
  • Support MRB activities and ensure proper disposition of nonconforming products.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program teams to meet quality requirements.
  • Assist with customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
  • Support risk management activities, including FMEA and process risk assessments.
  • Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
