Job summary

The Boeing Company in Tukwila/Seattle is seeking an Instrumentation Technician C to install instrumentation (strain gauges, thermocouples) on Boeing aircraft and related systems. You will read engineering drawings, follow manuals, and use a variety of tools to complete test setups.

Candidates will work in hangars and airfields, sometimes at heights, performing wiring, installation, and data collection while adhering to safety and process standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience reading and interpreting wire harness diagrams and installation schematics
• 1+ year of experience in electrical (wire shop) fabrication
• 1+ year of experience soldering electronic components

Responsibilities

• Receive work assignment from team leader or supervisor and obtain necessary materials and equipment
• Fabricate wire or fiber optic bundles used to connect test equipment and data acquisition systems
• Set up and perform qualification or bench tests as required by instructions and manuals
• Install sensors and strain gauges using appropriate bonding or fastening methods
• Write logs and maintain records of areas/equipment as required
