Job summary

The Boeing Company in Tukwila/Seattle is seeking an Instrumentation Technician C to install instrumentation on Boeing aircraft, primarily strain gauges and thermocouples. You will work from blueprints and specs, set up tests, and fabricate wire bundles as needed, onsite in WA.

This 2nd shift position requires experience with electrical systems, wiring, and test equipment, with travel up to 10% domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience reading and interpreting wire harness diagrams and installation schematics.
• 1+ year of experience in electrical fabrication and required processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive work assignment from team leader or supervisor and obtain necessary materials and equipment.
• Obtain engineering drawings and test documents for the assignment.
• Fabricate wire or fiber optic bundles to connect equipment and test sensing systems.
• Set up qualification/bench/automatic tests per instructions and docs.
• Install fiber optic strain gauges, thermocouples, accelerometers, and strain gauges as required.
• Use tools to install and connect test wiring and sensors on Boeing aircraft.
• Maintain records such as work logs for areas/equipment.
