Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Inspectors / FPI Trainees at our Winsted, CT facility. This is an entry-level opportunity to learn quality inspection in aerospace manufacturing, with opportunity to advance.

Starting pay is $20.00/hour with second and third shift differentials, plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus for eligible external hires. We offer 401(k), paid vacation, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Basic math and attention to detail.
• Aerospace inspection experience is a plus but not required.
• Interest in learning Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections on aerospace components at various stages.
• Verify materials match work orders and specifications.
• Inspect incoming shipments and documentation for accuracy.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify product quality.
• Document inspection results and quality records accurately.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve issues.
