Job summary

Howmet Aerospace, Engines seeks an experienced Injection Molding Simulation Engineer to join our team at the Howmet Research Center in Whitehall, Michigan. This role will be part of a high-performance multidisciplinary R&D team advancing molding technologies for turbine engines.

You will lead simulations using flow modeling and CFD/FEA tools to optimize ceramic cores, wax patterns, and injection molding processes, partnering with plant personnel worldwide to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution.
Minimum 3 years of experience in injection molding, mold/tool design, CFD, or FEA.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

Develop injection molding concepts for validation in R&D and production.
Lead the development and documentation of robust best-practices and design rules for high-performing injection molding tools and processes.
Improve the accuracy of materials property databases, boundary conditions, and analytical tools.
Build close relationships with plant personnel to understand challenges and design effective solutions.
Maintain knowledge of injection molding of ceramics, plastics, and waxes.
Balance multiple projects with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of results.
Share results across the organization and drive continuous growth and advancement.
Provide support to casting and core manufacturing facilities worldwide as needed.
