Job summary

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Manager to lead a cross-functional team in the production of advanced composite aerostructures for the A350 program. You will drive flow, quality, and delivery in a high-precision environment on site in Kinston, NC.

The role requires a Master’s degree in engineering with 8+ years’ experience, strong leadership, and knowledge of lean and SAP systems. Travel is expected, and relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or similar.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience in industrial engineering or similar.
• Aviation industry production and quality rules knowledge.
• Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French, German or Spanish desirable.
• Proficient in SAP and Google Workspace.
• Strong communication and teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operations & Multi Functional team in composite manufacturing and assembly.
• Manage integrated MF team to deliver priorities and ensure support.
• Monitor industrial flow to align with objectives and quality standards.
• Lead improvements using Airbus Operating System with data/pareto analysis.
• Identify root causes of non quality and eliminate defects.
• Reinforce a culture of quality across the production process.
• Coordinate with Widebody VSM and central Airbus entities.
• Develop resource forecasts based on line balancing and PPC.
• Prevent disturbances in the manufacturing process.
• Support global ramp up governance and enable key enablers.
• Create dynamic plans for on-time, on-quality delivery.
