Job summary

The role requires 10+ years in aerospace fluid conveyance or mechanical design with SolidWorks proficiency and GD&T expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 10+ years in aerospace fluid conveyance or mechanical component design.
• Proficient with SolidWorks and FEA solvers.
• Thorough knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Author high-fidelity 3D CAD models and detailed drawings for fittings.
• Perform hydraulic network modeling, pressure drops, and fatigue analyses.
• Ensure designs comply with SAE aerospace standards, MS/AN, and FAA requirements.
• Select materials (Ti-6Al-4V, 304, 2024-T6, 6061-T6, 7075-T3) and coatings.
• Define manufacturing requirements, GD&T tolerances, passivation, and packaging.
• Plan and execute qualification tests including burst, impulse fatigue, vibration, leaks.
