Job summary

Eaton Aerospace Group in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Machinist A for 2nd shift to set up and operate manual and CNC equipment, honing, lapping and grinding aerospace parts. You will read drawings, inspect parts for tight tolerances, and ensure quality while complying with safety standards.

The role requires 7+ years of machining experience, familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma, and the ability to work with diverse materials.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; minimum 7 years machining experience preferred.
• Experience honing, lapping, grinding and finishing aerospace parts.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and interpret GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Set up complex parts and operate manual and CNC machines.
• Honing, lapping, and grinding parts to close tolerances.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, air gauges and comparators to ensure specs.
• Follow safety rules and maintain clean, organized work area.
• Drive continuous process improvements and tool offsets as needed.
