Actalent is seeking a Hardware Systems Safety Engineer in Webster, TX to perform comprehensive hazard and safety analyses for aerospace hardware and flight systems. You will collaborate with V&V teams to maintain robust safety requirements, control strategies, and FD/IR capabilities to mitigate hazards.

The role requires strong communication with stakeholders such as NASA, and experience in safety-critical environments with electrical/hardware integration.

Qualifications

• Hazard analyses for aerospace hardware and flight systems.
• Safety analysis to evaluate hardware/system failures and mitigations.
• 2+ years in safety-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace safety requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with V&V teams.

Responsabilités

• Perform detailed hazard analyses for aerospace hardware and flight systems to identify safety risks and failure modes.
• Conduct safety analyses to evaluate the impact of hardware and system failures and define mitigation strategies.
• Track safety requirements and hazards using systems software and maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Collaborate with V&V teams to ensure safety requirements are implemented and verified.
• Assist with the definition and maintenance of FDIR strategies and hazard mitigation approaches.
• Perform anomaly and nonconformance analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Analyze flight systems to identify hazards related to safety systems, electrical systems, and hardware integration.
• Articulate hazards and controls to NASA and other stakeholders, explaining electronics and controls.
• Support system integration activities from a safety perspective.
