Woodward Inc. is seeking an experienced System Safety Engineer to lead safety activities for aerospace electronic systems.

You will partner with systems, hardware, software, certification, quality, and program teams to ensure safety assurance throughout the product lifecycle. The role focuses on defining safety requirements, evaluating architectures, conducting analyses, and supporting compliance with industry standards and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience in safety-critical aerospace.
• Experience with safety analyses and certification artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Lead aerospace system safety activities across the product lifecycle.
• Perform and document FHA, PSSA, SSA, FTA, FMEA/FMECA, CCA, PRA, ZSA analyses.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, software, mechanical, test, quality, and program teams.
• Support development assurance and certification aligned with ARP4754/ARP4761/DO-178C/DO-254/DO-160.
