Job summary

Varda Space Industries in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Technical Recruiter to build pipelines for hardware and software engineering roles. You’ll own sourcing strategy, actively recruit in-market candidates, and drive top-of-funnel health.

You’ll spend most of your time with LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, and referrals, screen for engineering fundamentals, and partner with hiring managers to define ideal profiles while ensuring compliance with export control and OFCCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical sourcing or recruiting experience.
• Proven ability to source senior engineering talent in competitive markets.
• Hands-on LinkedIn Recruiter experience, including advanced Boolean search.
• Self-starter who manages multiple priorities independently.
• Clear, proactive communicator with candidates and hiring managers.
• Enough technical fluency in hardware and/or software to evaluate role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage 4-8 active searches at once, keeping pipelines full and moving.
• Source engineering talent proactively through LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, referrals, and other channels.
• Write outreach messages and run recruiter screens to assess engineering fundamentals and hardware integration.
• Partner with hiring managers to define the ideal profile and set search boundaries.
• Own pipeline health and track response/conversion by channel to refine approach.
• Bring market insights on talent supply and compensation to hiring managers.
• Participate in calibration sessions and help keep interview processes current.
• Build and maintain a warm talent community for hard-to-fill disciplines.
• Work with People Ops to follow employment laws and export control considerations.
