Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Hardware Engineer – EEE Component Engineer in Phoenix to guide the hardware design process and ensure high reliability through component selection and qualification. You will work with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure parts meet stringent requirements.

The role focuses on defining hardware requirements, performing part assessments, and leading design teams to ensure reliable application of electronic parts across products and life cycle stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (sciences/engineering/math)
• Experience in design, development or manufacturing of electronic hardware or related roles
• Experience using Microsoft Office and hardware component engineering tools

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams to select EEE components for high reliability applications
• Support EEE Component Selection and Validation efforts
• Support EEE Component Failure Investigations
• Perform Part Assessments
• Perform specification reviews
• Develop specifications for screening and qualification of EEE components
• Communicate non-compliance incidents to relevant parties
• Use engineering tools to perform part assessments and obsolescence analysis
• Execute subtasks to meet customer specifications (design/testing)
• Identify areas for technical improvement using engineering principles
