Job summary

D.O.M. magazine in San Antonio, TX seeks a General Mechanic (Associate) to sustain, repair, and modify aircraft structures and components, ensuring safety and reliability for on-site operations. The role demands 4+ years in a mechanical field, ability to read drawings and manuals, and readiness for overtime.

FAA certification is preferred; forklift operation and heavy maintenance experience are pluses. This is a 100% onsite contract role in San Antonio.

Qualifications

  • FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant license preferred.
  • Experience in a technical or mechanical field using basic hand tools.
  • 4+ years of experience in relevant duties for satisfactory performance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures and structural components.
  • Maintain and repair aircraft components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
  • Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level modification and repair of structural parts.
  • Interpret technical orders, blueprints, and manufacturer manuals.
  • Ensure a safe working environment through Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag systems.
