Job summary

Triumph Group seeks a FPGA/PLD Electronics Design Engineer in West Hartford, CT. You will design electronic engine control solutions for actuator and motor control, interfacing with sensors, and digital communication, using PLD/FPGA and related hardware.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years FPGA/PLD experience, a BSEE (MSEE preferred), and strong problem-solving abilities. Collaboration across Electrical, Systems, Software, and Mechanical teams is essential, with a focus on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3+ years FPGA/PLD design experience, aerospace preferred.
• FPGA/PLD digital design focus with analog interfacing knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional leads to plan and execute projects.
• Ensure teams have requirements, direction, and resources to deliver.
• Establish realistic estimates for tasks to meet deliverables.
• Develop requirements, allocations, and compliance assessments.
• Generate block diagrams for PLD/FPGA and digital designs.
• Prepare for/Conduct SOI audits and design reviews.
• Perform analyses/simulations on digital and/or analog interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with TECS internal processes (NPI, design reviews).
• Meet Design-To-Cost and Design-To-Weight targets.
• Support internal/external customer meetings and design assurance.
• Assist transition of programs from development to production.
