Job summary

Data Device Corporation/Great River Technology in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Hardware Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to design, develop, and verify high-performance digital hardware and FPGA architectures for aerospace applications.

You will implement ARINC 818 interfaces, collaborate with senior engineers, and contribute to the hardware development lifecycle from schematic capture to lab integration. Onsite role with U.S. person requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional hardware design experience in aerospace/defense or high-reliability electronics.
• Strong VHDL/FPGA development experience (Xilinx Vivado).
• Experience with ARINC 818 interfaces and high-speed digital design is a plus.
• Proficient with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and EDA/simulation tools (ModelSim/QuestaSim).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and verify VHDL code for FPGAs used in aerospace applications.
• Implement ARINC 818 interfaces and high-speed interfaces.
• Work with systems, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure hardware-software integration.
• Contribute to hardware development lifecycle from schematic capture to lab verification.
• Create and review design descriptions and qualification tests.
