Job summary

Vast Space Llc. in Long Beach, CA, seeks a Supervisor, Fluid Systems Manufacturing to lead a production team and support the design-to-production transition for fluid systems on aerospace structures.

You will supervise technicians, guide welding/fabrication, and ensure documentation and ERP accuracy to meet schedules. The role requires 3+ years in aerospace or metallic manufacturing, a STEM degree, and hands-on experience with CAD (NX/Teamcenter) as well as ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, preferably supporting metallic structures or assemblies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or comparable STEM field.
• Experience developing, implementing, or sustaining manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Experience leading small teams in a production setting.
• Strong welding and metallic fabrication knowledge and aerospace exposure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of technicians responsible for fluid systems manufacturing with daily direction and feedback.
• Execute and sustain manufacturing processes including orbital tube welding and tube bending.
• Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation and ERP/MRP updates.
• Collaborate with Quality and Design Engineering to address non-conformances and root cause analysis.
• Work with Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability and transition from development to production.
• Monitor production performance and drive continuous improvement for safety, quality, and cost.
• Support structural assembly build and inspection to meet safety and quality standards.
• Assist on floor layout, capacity analysis, and workflow optimization.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and resolve blockers on the production floor.
