Job summary

The Exploration Company is seeking a Software System Engineer to support certification activities for flight software on the Nyx program. You will work with V&V teams, system engineers, and certification bodies to ensure compliance with safety standards.

You will apply C++ and Python in the context of flight software design, testing, and traceability, collaborating with software development and hardware teams in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety-critical aerospace software.
• Solid understanding of requirements management, V&V, test and certification processes.
• Strong background in software engineering with flight software frameworks and modern C++.
• Experience with real-time systems and embedded development.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to V&V and IV&V activities to ensure flight software meets requirements.
• Support requirements management and tracing from system-level to artifacts.
• Prepare and review documentation for software certification and NASA safety reviews.
• Interface with internal Product Assurance and collaborate with software and system engineers.
