Job summary

CMI Group in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Aerospace First Article Inspector to perform mechanical inspection of machined aerospace parts. You will use micrometers, calipers, surface plates, dial bore gauges and other tools to verify conformance and document results. CMM experience with PC-DMIS is required.

Typical duties include manual CMM inspection, DCC CMM with PC-DMIS and maintaining accurate records. Must be able to work full-time day shift and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum experience in aerospace inspection manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T.
• Experience with micrometers, optical comparator, height gages, profilometer.
• CMM experience (PC-DMIS, QC5000, Brown & Sharp Reflex).

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspection of machined Aerospace parts using hand tools, micrometer, caliper, surface plate layout tools and dial bore indicators.
• Demonstrate manual CMM experience.
• Operate DCC CMM with PC-DMIS.
• Maintain basic computer literacy for inspection documentation.

Location: 3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040 (40th St and Southern)

Shift: Full time, day shift

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspection of machined Aerospace parts using hand tools, Micrometer, Caliper, Surface Plate Layout tools, Dial Bore, etc.
• Manual CMM experience
• DCC CMM experience with PC-DMIS
• Basic computer knowledge

Basic Qualifications

• 3 years minimum experience in aerospace inspection manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
