This hands-on role supports fast-moving production schedules tied to government and commercial contracts, where rework is not an option and attention to detail protects timelines and trust.

The role involves preparing, finishing, coating, and protecting fabricated metal and composite components used in aerospace, defense, and government contracting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years painting in industrial/production settings.
• Experience with metal surface prep and powder-coat pre-application.
• Experience with CARC, epoxy primers, polyurethane coatings, or aerospace finishes.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in variable temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal substrates and apply powder-coat-ready finishes to specification.
• Apply latex and oil-based coatings by brush, roller, and spray methods.
• Inspect finished work for coverage, drips, texture, and color match.
• Support assembly and production during downtime to keep line moving.
• Perform finishing in indoor booths and outdoor environments, adjusting for temperature and humidity.
• Maintain spray equipment, brushes, and finishing tools in ready-to-use condition.
• Follow safety procedures and MIL-SPEC, drawings, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams.
