Job summary

FMI Aerostructures is seeking a Final Inspector to ensure parts meet aerospace specifications and customer requirements. You will inspect finished components and assemblies for conformance to drawings, tolerances, and quality standards.

Responsibilities include using precision tools, reviewing blueprints, and documenting non-conformances. You will collaborate with production and engineering, maintain records, and support continuous quality improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years aerospace inspection or quality assurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of parts and assemblies per drawings and specs.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Identify and document non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain inspection records for traceability and audits.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality systems.
• Train and mentor junior inspectors; stay updated on aerospace standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
