Job summary

Sierra Nevada Company, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician I to perform maintenance, repair, and support on aerospace and defense equipment at customer sites in Plano, TX. In-office role with frequent travel and on-site customer collaboration.

The position requires knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, ability to install, operate, maintain, and upgrade products, and to maintain detailed field records. DoD-related clearance and extended deployments may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher education may substitute for experience.
• Exposure to technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, or publications.
• Familiar with troubleshooting techniques and basic electrical concepts.
• Ability to travel outside CONUS for extended periods.
• Ability to travel within CONUS as needed.
• Hands-on experience with hardware components and systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on aerospace and defense equipment at customer sites.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Diagnose issues and minimize downtime with effective solutions.
• Provide on-site training and support to customers.
• Maintain logs of maintenance activities and equipment status updates.
• Travel to various customer locations as required.
