Job summary

Magellan Aerospace, New York, is seeking a reliable Porter-Building Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, safety, and functionality of our manufacturing facility. The successful incumbent will ensure that all building systems and infrastructure are maintained to support production in a high‑performance aerospace environment.

The salary range for this position is $25.00 to $27.00 per hour. Responsibilities include maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building structures,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of building/facilities maintenance experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general construction/facility repair.
• Ability to read basic building plans and maintenance documentation.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, compressed air, and structural components.
• Conduct facility inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and operational standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency issues.
• Maintain and repair floors, walls, ceilings, and general infrastructure.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers as needed.
• Maintain maintenance logs and facility records and support improvement projects.
