Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. is seeking a facilities leader to plan and coordinate resources, improve methods, and oversee RF systems and maintenance across our operations in Kansas.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Assembly, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams, plus a track record of driving process improvements. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of leadership in manufacturing or aerospace environments, experience managing 20+ staff, and comfort presenting to senior

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in Aerospace, Aviation, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Metallic Finishing/Processing, Assembly or Machining.
  • Minimum 2 years managing a team of 20+ employees.
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership/management role (industry or military).
  • Minimum 2 years in manufacturing environment over Facilities.
  • Experience reviewing, delivering or monitoring production metrics.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working with cross functional groups (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, Facilities).
  • Prior management level experience reporting to Senior Leadership on department status.
  • Flexibility to work 2nd, 3rd or alternate week shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and integrate resources necessary for maintaining or improving company assets.
  • Analyze and improve facilities methods and conditions.
  • Coordinate activities with other company organizations and customers.
  • Analyze data using statistics and other tools.
  • Recommend and implement continual improvements.
  • Develop plans, resolve problems, establish schedules and track progress to maintain or improve buildings, equipment, and systems.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, certification, and maintenance of radio frequency systems and electromagnetic facilities.
  • Develop scope of work, acquire materials and services, and oversee facilities contracts.
  • Maintain historical records.
  • Interface with company organizations, customers, and suppliers.
