Job summary

Quest Defense Systems and Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Design Analysis Engineer (Externals) to advance the external components of aircraft engines. The role emphasizes precision, reliability, and safety in mission-critical aerospace systems.

The engineer will perform FEA analyses, develop models, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal integration of external components into engine designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) required.
• 1-3 years experience in FEA analysis, aerospace or aviation.
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis applied to engine externals.

Responsibilities

• Design tubes and ducts for fluid and gas systems in aircraft engine externals.
• Design brackets and supports to mount external components while minimizing weight.
• Investigate field failures and propose design improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with aerodynamics, design, and manufacturing teams for seamless integration.
• Use computational tools to generate analysis models for externals components.
• Analyze, post-process, and present results with high-quality documentation.
