Job summary

Hughes Brothers Aircrafters Inc is seeking a Customer Service Estimator to convert aerospace customer requests into accurate, competitive quotes for metal forming and CNC machining. You will review drawings, specs, and contracts, then build workflows and estimates for labor, materials, and tooling to drive quotes and delivery.

This hands-on role connects customers, engineering, production and quality to ensure quotes reflect real requirements and feasible delivery paths.

Qualifications

5+ years in metal fabrication/CNC machining or similar manufacturing.
Hands-on aerospace parts experience and GD&T literacy.
Strong math, reading of drawings, and MS Excel proficiency.
Experience reviewing SOWs/TEB/DTAs and pricing quotes.
Knowledge of AS9100/AS9102 and material certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review RFQs, PO terms, quality and delivery clauses.
Interpret drawings, GD&T, and technical data to define scope.
Read statements of work and identify required processes and deliverables.
Develop manufacturing routing for metal forming and CNC machining.
Estimate setup/run times, labor, material, tooling, and outside services.
Build complete cost estimates and prepare timely quotes.
Identify risks and clarify ambiguities with customers.
Coordinate with engineering, production, purchasing and QA on manufacturability and lead times.
Review supplier quotes and serve as customer contact for quotes and pricing.
Maintain estimating records and improve accuracy over time.
