Job summary

RTX is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the MRO engineering team in Foley, AL, onsite. You will guide technical staff, interface with customers and suppliers, and drive continuous improvement across engineering processes.

The role emphasizes Lean methods, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely repair deliveries while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 7–10 years of aerospace experience (or an advanced degree with 7+ years).
• U.S. citizenship is required to access program information.
• Experience with Nacelle bonded structures.
• Project management or planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance and mentoring for growth.
• Interface with internal/external customers and suppliers to communicate status and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure repair schedules are met.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean principles to improve processes, quality and safety.
• Coordinate with licensing/technical services to harmonize licensed programs.
• Develop resource plans and implement new products or processes to improve performance.
• Monitor production data to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards for a safe, environment-friendly site.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source new technologies and reduce costs.
• Provide technical support to resolve manufacturing issues and optimize output.
• Travel up to 10%.
