Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• At least 12 years of aerospace engineering experience with leadership.
• Experience in design, substantiation, and certification processes.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and certification documentation.
• Proven mentoring, project coordination, and staffing planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design Engineering by setting priorities and allocating resources.
• Oversee design, substantiation, and certification of helicopter components, systems, and subsystems.
• Ensure FAA compliance and safety, performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost goals.
• Review engineering drawings and analyses within authority.
• Guide issue resolution with production, vendors, customers, and field operators.
• Develop training and development plans; recruit and manage personnel.
