Cummings Aerospace, Inc. in Arlington, VA, is seeking a capable Aerospace Engineer III to support physics-based modeling and simulation tools for aerospace system design and analysis.

This full-time role reports to the Program Manager and involves developing simulation models for missiles and aerospace systems. The candidate will perform GNC/trajectory analyses, conduct trade studies, and present results to technical leads and customers.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • 5+ years of modeling and simulation experience with complex aerospace systems required.
  • 6-DOF simulation and GNC experience is highly desired.
  • Programming experience in Matlab, C++, and FORTRAN required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision.

Overview

The Aerospace Engineer III position is a full-time exempt position. The individual will support the development and implementation of physics based modeling and simulation tools to support aerospace system design and analysis, perform engineering trade studies, and performance assessments. The individual will report to the Program Manager.

Responsibilities
