Job summary

Cummings Aerospace in Largo, FL is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to contribute across requirements, architecture, MBSE, CONOPS, data analysis, and system/software integration and test.

You will collaborate with software, test, and other disciplines, report to the Team Lead and Product Owner, and maintain documentation and test procedures. A Secret clearance is required and a BS in engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• 5-12 years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of software & systems engineering lifecycle.
• Familiarity with defense or naval systems.
• Experience with modeling and simulation of embedded software.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and modeling/simulation tools.
• Experience with software integration and test.
• Experience with sensor integration and tracking.
• Strong communication skills and ability to develop and maintain requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering expertise in requirements development, analysis, management, architecture, MBSE, CONOPS, data analysis, software/system integration and test, verification and validation, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with software engineering, test, and other technical disciplines across the lifecycle; report to Team Lead and Product Owner.
• Create, develop, and maintain requirements; support CONOPS and architecture development; assist in designing new capabilities.
• Prepare presentations and reports for contract requirements; develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and cases; perform integration and testing both in-house and at sites.

Systems Engineer- Mid Level

Full Time Largo, Florida, Largo, FL, US

Overview:

The Mid-Level Systems Engineer position is a full-time exempt position. The individual will provide systems engineering expertise in requirements development, analysis, and management; systems architecture; Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE); Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development; data analysis; software/system integration and test; verification and validation; and system/software problem investigation and root-cause analysis. The Mid-Level Systems Engineer will work collaboratively with software engineering, test, and other technical disciplines throughout the system development lifecycle and will report directly to the Team Lead and assigned Product Owner.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Science, or an appropriate Engineering or Scientific discipline
• 5-12 years’ experience required
• Knowledge of Software & Systems Engineering Product Development Life Cycle
• Knowledge of Defense and/or Naval defense systems
• Experience with modeling and simulation of embedded software
• Experience with MATLAB and modeling & simulation tools
• Demonstrated experience with Software Integration and Test.
• Demonstrated experience with Sensor Integration and Tracking
• Familiarity with the following Tools: Git, Jenkins, DOORS, Cameo, Linux, Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Create, develop, and maintain requirements
• Support architecture development and CONOPs
• Support design and implement new tactical capabilities
• Update, maintain, and utilize various simulation tools to support data analysis

• Create, run, and maintain test procedures and documentation.

Clearance
