Job summary

Skyline Scientific is seeking an Aerospace Engineer to support modeling and simulation, hypersonic systems analysis, and data fusion for national security customers. The role blends fundamentals with hands-on software and analytic work to turn sensor data into insight on complex systems.

The ideal candidate will work across model development and collaboration with analysts and engineers, with responsibilities spanning algorithm integration and briefing technical results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with at least 5 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of first-principles physics applied to engineering problems.
• Ability to develop and implement aerodynamic models to predict system performance.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for model development and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop functional and predictive aerodynamic models for data analysis systems.
• Apply physics and engineering fundamentals to assess aerospace system performance.
• Support data fusion and trajectory analysis efforts.
• Test and integrate algorithms into deployable software.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and government stakeholders to meet operational needs.
• Communicate findings through briefings, papers, and presentations.
