Job summary

RTX’s Columbus Engine Center in Georgia is seeking an experienced engine inspector to perform advanced inspection processes on turbine components. You will master tooling and measurement equipment, troubleshoot inspection flows, and maintain high-quality documentation for engine builds.

The role requires a strong background in turbine engine inspection, A&P credentials, and adherence to safety standards. You will work onsite in a team-focused environment, contributing to continuous improvement

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts.
A&P License, Military Training, Technical Training, or Jet Engine Inspection Experience.
A&P License or two years relevant experience preferred.
Turbine engine overhaul, inspection and repair experience preferred (disassembly, inspection, assembly).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
FAA Safety Sensitive Position requirements.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate RTX culture and values; be a role model and encourage team participation.
Mentor and develop team members; share skills and experiences.
Inspect parts after the clean and NDT processes; provide accurate documentation.
Bench inspection of parts after cleaning and NDT; support engine builds.
Enter and reconcile Engine Shop Visit Reports (ESVR) and related documentation.
Review engine package documentation and engine inspection reports (EIR); ensure quality.
