Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX company, is seeking an Onsite Inspector at the Columbus Engine Center in Georgia. The role focuses on advanced inspection processes, tooling and measurement usage, and problem solving to ensure engine components meet strict specifications.

The position requires an A&P license or equivalent experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work in a team focused on continuous improvement. U.S.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED is required.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts.
• A&P License or equivalent military/technical training or jet engine inspection experience.
• A&P License or two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Turbine engine overhaul, inspection and repair experience preferred (disassembly, inspection, assembly).
• Ability to identify and resolve configuration and compatibility issues.
• CORE Basics and active CORE activity preferred (internal candidates only).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
• FAA Safety Sensitive Position.

Responsibilities

• Use precision measurement tools to inspect engine components and verify proper configuration.
• Provide complete and accurate documentation to support engine assembly and maintenance.
• Meet production and inspection goals for the facility.
• Review technical documentation including Fits and Clearances, Engine Inspection Reports (EIR), and SAP records.
• Review engine package documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Support a team-based environment focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
