PDS Tech Commercial seeks an Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technologist/Technician for a 12-month contract in Rockford, IL. You will support EMC testing, system integration, and aerospace qualification activities to help ensure performance and safety of next-generation aviation systems.

Working with engineers and lab staff, you’ll execute test setups, monitor equipment, document results, and contribute to test reports while maintaining strict quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting EMC qualification testing per aerospace standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461 or equivalent).
• Experience with complex test setups and system integration activities.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic/test systems.
• Experience reviewing test data, interpreting results, and investigating disruptions/outages.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and technical accuracy.

Responsabilités

• Operate aerospace electronic equipment during EMC qualification testing and ensure startup/shutdown procedures are followed.
• Configure test bench layouts and support wiring harness routing and test article placement.
• Generate detailed shift reports and maintain test logs and technical records.
• Collaborate with EMC Engineers and laboratory personnel to drive testing per schedule and milestones.
