Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix is seeking a Software Engineer I to design, develop, and implement software tools for aerospace products and systems. You will help enhance performance, safety, and reliability in aerospace electrical systems and report to the Director of Engineering.

The role includes a hybrid work schedule with 90-day on-site requirements. You will participate in code reviews, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to the release of design documentation and software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 0-2 years of software development experience, preferably in embedded systems or aerospace-related applications.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems and embedded software concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain software tools and applications for aerospace systems and products.
• Translate system and software requirements into robust implementations.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software bugs and defects.
• Collaborate across various functional and global engineering and project teams.
• Work with engineering teams to help release design and documentation.
